Sunday Seven: 7 Fun Things I Did with My Kids This Week

Sunday Seven Meme

Dad's been out of town working for a few weeks and we were missing him. So, we did 7 Fun Activities to lift our spirits.
  1. Watched some of our Little House on the Prairie and The Walton's DVDs
  2. Played our favorite card games: Dutch Blitz and 9 Square
  3. Looked at old photos from when the kids were little
  4. Made Monkey Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting
  5. Played Chicken Foot (with dominoes)
  6. Had a slumber party in the living room
  7. Called Grandma and Grandpa on the phone
I'm the kind of woman that loves getting involved in ministry and volunteer projects. But, I have to remind myself that my kids are my first ministry. It is my responsibility to help them grow as Christians, to help them through their childhood, and to show them my love.

Here's a link for the rules of Chicken Foot. My kids just love playing the doubles and yelling "Chicken Foot".

I LOVE the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie....my kids will hardly watch them now though! HA! Probably burned out too. My kids DO love playing games though. I am not the game person but my husband is so we do a "family" night occasionally and the 2 older ones that moved out recenlty come "home" (they live up the road! HA!)and eat with us (of course!) and play games. Sadly.....my oldest son just moved to Connecticut before Christmas so.....he can't come play now.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting!
BTW...we love DutchBlitz and Chicken Foot too. We also play Mexican Train but require everyone to yell "woo-woo" when starting a train. We bawk during Chicken Foot! Yes..we're weird. *L*

Hi Shari!

Thank you for commenting on my blog, I replied with this:

"I'm sorry your comment came up as spam! I have de-spammed you know.

I didn't do a Sunday Seven this week...but I guess my roses from my friend count as 7 blessings rolled into one!

I will visit you and read yours :)"

Have a great day! AR xx
