Ministry Idea - Vacation Bible School

School is almost out for the summer and churches are busy planning Vacation Bible School for the kids.

VBS is an exciting event for churches. They love doing this for the kids and telling new kids about Jesus. Your help is really needed to make Vacation Bible School a successful evangelistic outreach to the community. Here are some things that you can do to help with VBS:
  • Invite non-Christian kids to VBS
  • Pray that kids will learn about Jesus, make decisions to become Christians, that they will bring their parents to church
  • Volunteer to help set up, lead groups or activities
  • Advertise to your community that all kids are invited to VBS

Hummm, I remember when my daughter went to VBS and she'll be 39 this year. :) I only wish my grandkids had had the opportunity. Maybe someday soon.

I know what you mean. It is very exciting. By the end of the week my body is tired but I have such a peaceful feeling. I was not raised in church but I can remember attending VBS and being in a church. That is the only time that many kids are in a church. Thanks for a great post. God Bless~

I miss VBS! In my family life, it was one of the only times I got to spend alot of time with other believers!
Love on those kids that visit!!

You're such an inspiration. You live what you believe in word and deed. We need more people like that in this world....

The church we attend doesn't have a VBS program. I'm not sure of their reasoning for this decision. In the past, before our move out West, we attended a church that offered VBS. I think it's a great outreach for kids and their families, and was glad to be a part of teaching at two of them. I wish our church would consider offering it.
