Then Sings My Soul Saturday Meme
I first heard this song back in 1988. I can't believe that I was able to find a You Tube video of Benny Hester singing this 20 year old song. This song was special to me when I was18 years old. I was so touched that God could love me this much. He doesn't leave us. We may ignore Him. But He's standing there with us trying to get our attention, waiting for us - still loving us. (I hope you have a tissue handy.)

hi, just to wish you Happy Mother's Day.
Yep! Get a tissue for this one. :) I remember this one from a retreat...it was incredible then, and incredible today!
Thanks for sharing it!

What a beautiful song! I've never heard it before! Had to think back at what I was doing in 1988...then remembered...two toddlers...who had time to listen to anything! :-)
Thanks for sharing!
I had heard this song before but I never listened to all the words. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing it. It is amazing to know that the God of the Universe doesn't have to run to or from anything... but He runs to us.
Oh, yes!
This is such a great song! I, myself, was a prodigal who ran away from Him. The fact that He not only welcomed be back with loving arms but that He ran to ME...I am humbled by His great love.
Thanks for posting this song!
I had no idea this song was 20 years old. Great choice, the imagery is so beautiful and the message is incredible! I hadn't thought about it in such a personal way. God would run for me??? WOW!! Thanks Shari...
Happy Mother's Day!!!
Wow! I've never heard this song before, but what a wonderful message.
Thanks so for sharing it this weekend!
What a memory! I've always loved this song!
I absolutely love this song! Thanks for posting it.
Happy Mothers Day to you.
Oh my gosh, I remember that song. You are SOOOO right about the tissues. You know something, I never related to that song the way I do now. The way I feel for my own daughter, who ran back-the same way. I greet her with open arms, and love. How much more does our Father in heaven love us? Unfathomable. That is all I can say.
