YouTube Video: Mercy Me Talking About the Children That They Sponsor through Compassion
It's Blogging Month at Compassion International. Many bloggers are writing about their sponsored children and their experiences with Compassion.
You can read about:
- Boo Mama and Her Sponsored Girl - Sharon
- Rocks in My Dryer and Her Sponsored Boy - Dissan
- Anne and Her Sponsored Girl
Sponsoring a Child costs only $32 a month. This is what will be provided to the child:
- a church based program that will teach about Jesus
- educational opportunities
- health care and supplemental nutrition
- opportunities to learn about life skills
- safe recreation
You will be making an eternal difference in the life of your sponsored child.
Do you have an experience with child sponsorship that you'd like to share? Are you thinking about sponsoring a child? Please feel free to share your story by leaving a comment.

I just get so excited about seeing our Sophia when the stuff comes!
I pray for her daily and I just can't wait to see her face....I'll cry like a baby. We are so blessed. I can do this for her.
Have a great Monday Shari!!
Hugs and blessings~

I'm glad to see you blogged about this too. I also did. And this video of Mercy Me talking about the children they sponsored gave me goose bumps! Glory to God.
I read Boo Mama everyday and I've cried everyday this week about her posts. It has been so eye opening to me how much we really have.
Thanks for your sweet thoughts that you left for me! We sponsor a family/child in Malawi....thru World Vision...her name is Vita...and she is absolutely precious!!! We are so blessed to be a part of her life...and watch her grow! She sends us some of the sweetest drawings...she is only 6 years old. We love her so!
hi, just passed by..
Thanks for stopping by. I've been reading many of the Compassion International blogs...it's such a great way to get our eyes open to the nations' need for the gospel!
Thank you so much. I like to hear that you did pray for me and not that you will because then very often we forget.
Wasn't the Uganda blogging trip just amazing? I have been so impacted by what I've read.
WE sponsered a sweet little girl in Nicaragua and actually got to meet her and even see her several times. Then she disappeared, which often happens. I can still see her smiling face in my memory...she was such a pretty little girl.
Sad.
Hi Shari
I've been following 'Rocks in my Dryer' story recently and spoke to my husband about sponsoring a child, too, as a family. I believe we are going to do it. It sounds like this is a really wonderful organization!
my parents sponsor 3 kids, 1 is in africa and the other 2 are in india i believe, they were affected by the tsunami, its so sad, but they are great kids! oh and my husband did make it home this weekend, we had a nice time together, but i had to take him to the airport this morning:( how are you doing?
